The light weight CBC machined spools are fitted with super smooth oil-soaked felt washers. With a turn of the handle, spool and drag system engage to set hook fight fish. Quite simply, these are ultra smooth, precision crafted reels.
The bait feeding system incorporates a secondary, micro-adjustable drag at rear of reel that allows for precise adjustment spool bait control. The avenger abf uses Okuma live bait feeding system. The on off lever rear of reel will automatically disengage bait feeding system so you can fight your fish with main drag. The tension of free spool can be adjusted with rear adjustment which looks and works like a drag.
When you are ready to set the hook, flip down bait feeder lever engage drag, and conventional front drag takes over. The avenger abf series puts a new spin on traditional world of reels, and more importantly, what can be expected from them. Coming in sizes 20 through 90 to accommodate most applications, from walleye catfish and strippers rock fish, this series has bait cast anglers covered.
Okuma patented bait feeding system allows for disengagement of the spool and free-running line without opening bail. The reel features six sealed ball bearings, for smooth operation.
